Pacific Consultants has been contributing to the development, designing, operation and maintenance of over 100 EfW projects in Japan. The following are some examples.

Waste Treatment Facility Improvement Project for Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture, Japan

The incinerator processes 174 ton per day using 2 furnaces.
The facility outputs electricity (3,800 kW) and most of the bottom ash will be recycled for cement material.

It includes a gymnasium and a versatile meeting space.
In addition, this EfW facility accommodates space to be used as an evacuation facility to be an evacuation centre during disasters and serves daily as a community business facility.

Such EfW facilities have been widely recognized as the "Imabari Model" showcasing as Japanese next generation EfW.

Pacific Consultants contributed to develop this significant project, including conceptualisation, development, supervising the facility design and construction work, as well as monitoring the technical, financial, and legal aspects of the project.

Project Period Construction: completed in March 2018
Operation: scheduled to be until March 2038 (for 20years)

Incinaration Facility Development ( including power generation from waste) Project in Nagano Regional Wide-area Association, Nagano Prefecture, Japan

This is the project with following descriptions: The incinerator processes 405 ton per day using 3 furnaces, and the ash melting incinerator processes 22 ton per day.

The facility outputs electricity (7,910 kW) as well as residual heat (supplied to the nearby swimming pool) and bottom ash generated by incineration are recycled and reused effectively.

Moreover the project has development of educational facility on site.

Pacific Consultants contributed to develop the project. This involved with contributing to supervise the facility design and construction work, and supporting the project in technical, financial, and legal aspects .

Project Period Construction: completed in March 28th, 2019
Operation: scheduled from March 1st, 2019 to March 31st, 2039  (plan to be for 20years and 1 month)

Waste Treatment Facility Development Project for Kuwana Wide-area Cleaning Business Association, Mie Prefecture, Japan

The incinerator processes 174 ton per day using 2 furnaces.

The facility outputs electricity (3,080kW) and all ash including fly ash is recycled for cement material.

Pacific Consultants contributed to develop the project. This involved with contributing to the realisation of the facility development, supervising the facility design and construction work, and monitoring the technical, financial, and legal aspects of the project.

Project Period Construction: completed in March 2021
Operation: scheduled to be March 2041 (for 20 years)
