"Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement Award Group-2 2019" from Japan Civil Engineering Society

The "North-South Line of the Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Project Phase 1" with PACIFIC CONSULTANTS CO., LTD. (PCKK)’s participation in construction management is awarded "Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement Award Group-2 2019" by Japan Society of Civil Engineering (JSCE). This award is especially made for projects with achievements in the development of civil engineering technology.

The project is a construction of a 15.7km urban railway connecting central and south area of Jakarta with 13 stations, including the very first subway in Indonesia. This is the very first railway development project entirely done by an "all Japan team" with Japanese ODA in master Plan, feasibility studies, basic design, tender assistance, construction, and O&M. The completion of MRT hugely cut down car journeys needed more than 2 hours to just 30 minutes. It is a reliable , on time transport means for Jakarta citizens.

The project has also triggered many other development projects along the MRT Line with participation from many Japanese firms, which bring social and economic growth for both Indonesia and Japan.

PCKK got involved as a member of Construction Management Consulting Services Joint Venture from 2013 through the grand start of the operation in April 2019, we were responsible for design management, technical supervision, and evaluation mainly for civil and architectural matters related to depot, viaduct, and underground.
